Adult Forum for November : On Monday, November 12, Father Rich Frontjes will lead a discussion on the subject of the relationship between the calendar and sustaining a life of faith. The session will begin at 3:30 in the afternoon in the narthex at Church of the Redeemer. All are welcome.
Adult Forum for December: Robert Warski will lead Adult Forum on Monday, December 10, at 3:30 in the narthex. We will discuss the Anglican approach to interpreting God's revelation: scripture, tradition, and reason. All are welcome.
Bible Study: On Monday, November 19, Robert Warski will lead a discussion on the Christian doctrine of the Incarnation as it is expressed in the New Testament. All are welcome.
Morning Prayer: Episcopal Church of the Redeemer offers Morning Prayer, from the Book of Common Prayer, every Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m.. Consider adding weekly morning prayer to your discipline of prayer.
Bi-lingual Thanksgiving Eucharist: There will be a bi-lingual Thanksgiving service at 12:30 on Sunday, November 18, followed by a pot luck parish Thanksgiving dinner. There will be no services at 9:00 and 11:00 on that date.
Service of Lessons and Carols: Church of the Redeemer joins with its sister church, St. Hugh, in celebrating a service of lessons and carols for Advent at St. Hugh Episcopal Church at 4:00 on Sunday, December 9. All are welcome.
Christmas Eve Service: Episcopal Church of the Redeemer will celebrate the Nativity of Our Lord with Eucharist at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 24, Christmas Eve. A festive Christmas gathering, featuring Christmas cookies and other holiday goodies, will follow the service. All are welcome.
Church of the Redeemer continues the healing ministry of Jesus in several ways. One of these is offering prayer, laying on of hands, and anointing with oil to those seeking healing, after the distribution of communion at the 9:00 o'clock service on the first Sunday of every month. Healing ministry is also offered at the Spanish-language service at 7:00 p.m. every Wednesday evening.
